    Alright this may be a dumb question but will a 2006 tacoma brake booster work on a 97?

    no, it won't work.

    by the way, if it can help you, the part number for a 97 booster is:
    withABS:44610-04060

    withoutABS
    4WD & 2WDprerunner: 44610-04050

    Thanks definetaly will help. After doing some research i beleive its actually the master cylinder thats bad. The pedal isnt hard to push, it slowly sinks, i have brakes but not a good pedal feel. do you know what the part number for it is? For 4 wheel with ABS?

    yeah, rockauto usually has good prices. Might not be OEM, but if you don't mind, you'll get an aftermarket MC at a good price, for sure
