Yup, but I have beat the snot out of my 2013 on the trails and have had zero issues while running 265/75/16 (32") BFGs. I have not trimmed anything, and I have the factory wheels and definitely no wheel spacers as they wear out wheel bearings unnecessarily - I'm a function over form kind of guy.

 

Seems to be a few of us in here that are from SoCal. We need to have our own classy TRD Pro & TX Baja meet

 

Well I have made the decision to jump ship to a 4Runner this year. We will be needing more space for our 3 dogs and baby seats.

I expect Ill look to sell the truck in the spring and located a 4Runner TRD Offroad when I come across a deal.

My good friend and coworker says I can borrow his Tacoma whenever, as well as my other friend and now coworker says I can borrow his Colorado whenever. My father also lives 30min away and has a Tundra.

 

Ok @2004TacoBill you got me curious. I checked and was blown away to find 3 legit Pros for sale in our little SLC market, so the lease buyback thing must be hitting big.

wow, 3 real pros for sale in SLC.....they all look nice but I'm partial to the Inferno.....just cuz it's the color of mine and it stands out way more then the white (or black). I also like the Katskin seat covers...they look nice! I had Clazzio covers in one of my previous Tacomas and loved them except they actually made me sit higher up in the seat. I want seat covers and I was thinking about going with Wet Okole this time.....their shop is in Costa Mesa CA and I live 15-20 minutes from there so I can special order ones with a TRD PRO logo and have them install the covers. So hard to pick between those 3 seat covers!....anyone want to put their 2 cents in to help me decide??!!

I bought my PRO on Oct. 8, 2017. It had 22,325 miles, was bone stock and they wanted $32,475.......funny thing was Autonation Irvine had 1 at the same time for sale for the same price but with slightly more miles....and they don't budge on the price. I got mine for $31,000 after haggling for about 2 hours......best decision ever!

I saw that on their website. How do you like yours? how are they holding up? What can I expect to pay for front and rear seats?

Here is a pic of the color combo I like along with the TRD logo......except I would have mine say TRD PRO instead of just TRD......and I was thinking the "TRD" would be black and the "PRO" would be reddish orange like the shift knob......what do you think?.....or should I just keep the TRD PRO all in black??.......ORRRRR......should I have it just say TRD in reddish orange like the shift knob??

 

I’ve got okoles. I too got them on a GB. No complaints and have held up very well with no problems. After install and the first time I actually sat in them , I was pleasantly surprised how dam comfortable they are. I’ve had at least 4 different people say the same...

 

Seems like everybody on TW loves the Wet Okoles, you probably can't go wrong there especially with free install. I wouldn't have paid for the Katzkin setup I have (original owner paid something like $2500 for leather + heat + cooling), but it is top quality leather and I am very happy to have it. Especially since I modded the cooling to pipe A/C air straight to my backside.

Hey Baja TX folks, I just ticked over 66K and needed new tires so bought a set of 265/75/16 (32") BFG KO2s at Costco, they ride real nice, but can feel the weight effect on acceleration...no big deal.

Anyhow to my question, I took the truck in for an alignment, left side adjusted fine, but for the right side the mechanic said he could not set the toe to spec due to frozen bolts on the upper pivot arm. Does this sound fishy? Now my truck has a solid drift to right, which it did not have before they f&$#ed with the alignment. Mechanic said we might have to remove the upper pivot arm to replace the bolt and bushings. I’m thinking these guys have no clue. Does anyone know of a way to loosen the upper arm adjustment bolt to allow for adjustment, maybe help it with heat?

Also do TXs have a different alignment spec than that of a standard non-lifted Tacoma?

 

I think their alignment spec is likely similar if not the same...is it worth it to take it to another shop to get a second opinion? I am trying to understand this, but they were able to shift the right side around, but cant center it due to the key bolts needed are seized? Many times the Cam bolts seize in the LCAs (lower control arms) and eventually guys have to get new bolts installed due to this when their bolts start to strip out. You can thank Toyota for their shitty factory bushings in the LCAs that cause this to take place over time. In your case, the cam bolts to some degree could be bad. As a neighbor in this area with the roads around here and salt...we are in a region where things corrode and seize. Can you snap a photo of your LCAs as that might help with seeing what effort the tech might have already performed.

 

No adjustments on the upper arms, likely your lower can bolts are rusted into the control arm bushings. You will need new cams and a control arm, coat the bolts in anti cheese to prevent any future issues.
