I'm a member on many forums for the various vehicles and sxs and sleds I own. Tacoma world is by far the fullest of people that will not accept other vehicles are as good or better than their Tacoma. Arguing the point on here is pointless. They own a Tacoma because it's what they believe is the best. Nothing wrong with that

The problem with that argument is they're all going off 2018 models. My entire family almost exclusively buys GM vehicles. When they bring them home, they're great, then a few years go by and they are rattling and making noises. Door's don't create that air whoosh sound my 05 Tacoma still has as it's closed. Last weekend i rode in my brothers 12 Yukon Denali that was a pretty penny when new. Thing sounded like it was falling apart. He's also got a piece of cardboard in his garage to catch all the oil it leaks. My 05 still drives like when I brought it home. Leaks zero oil and has crazy high resale value.

I have owned 1 GM vehicle. That was enough for me.

There are definitely better vehicles than the Tacoma. But most of them cost way more or have stuff I don’t like. The taco is an excellent value.

    Mr. dlakerguy has been banned.
If you look at his album page you will see his ZR2, the motive for his constant biased postings.

Also Chevy rebates the crap out of their trucks late in the year, while GMC doesn't.

Monthly you can see how much rebates/discounts can affect sales. Chevy was giving up to $14000 off of 1500 Silverados for November and December. The Titan was $9K off. Ford and Ram had excellent rebates as well, but clearly didn't market them that well. Toyota showing growth with no rebates or offers on the Tacoma is impressive.

It's weird because here in Canada it's the opposite(for full size trucks anyway) GMC outsells Chevy

Funny you say this. I used my buds 2004 1500. That thing rattled so much. Thought it was going to fall apart. I had to keep my left knee on the door so the window selector panel wouldn't fall off and onto the floor. Drivetrain wise, it was good.

I had a 2016 Tacoma for a year (bought in January 2016), then a 2016 Colorado for a year (bought in January 2017) and now I'm back to a Tacoma. There are positives to both and negatives to both. After a year the Colorado had lost a huge amount of resale value. Also it's clear that these reviewers don't long term test these trucks - the interior of my Colorado, after 12 months, rattled and squeaked everywhere.

I can't believe how few squeaks or rattles my 13 year old Tacoma has. I use it as a forest ranger for work and it has 243k on it. I don't beat it, but also don't baby it. Thanks Toyota for a new frame, etc and now just got 3 new u joints for free.

That being said I can get a crew zr2 for about $50 or more less a month than a trd off road. The prices in Canada favor the zr2, which I think in this case is the better truck for the money

The bed in shitarado is useless, the back window is also a joke. Putting a diesel in a midsize truck then getting consumers to pay a expensive premium for it is also retarded. Most delaerships I’ve seen here in Canada have limited stock on Tacoma’s But you can certainly find gm trucks everywhere for sale. Tacoma is a great truck, but it still needs improvements. I can’t say anything bad about GMC full size trucks, They are pretty bulletproof.

Never owned a GM but park by a Colorado everyday at work. Haven't ever felt like I made the wrong choice.

I agree with the regular Colorado, but I have to admit an all black zr2 is one nice looking truck!

I don’t understand this. Cost to produce a diesel is higher. So what are they supposed to do? Toyota would do the exact same thing. I don’t know of a single manufacturer that does it different. They’re a business and have shareholders to answer to.
