I might head down to Dahlgren to coyote hunt Thursday or Friday.

Nice. Where do you hunt? On base or just somewhere in the area? If it's on Friday, let me know and I can tag along maybe. I haven't been out hunting since I moved here. Only ever tried coyote hunting once when I was in NM. Don't really have a gun setup for it.

On a farm down there. Actually in Tetotum (closer to CB than Dahlgren). It borders the base.

I'll give you a shout if I head down Friday! Lots of coyotes there.

Will those billys and coils fit a 3rd gen?

Sounds good. Do you usually coyote hunt in the morning or evening/night? I know they're pretty nocturnal.

Pretty sure it's all the same yes. I have a guy that would do the swap for $200. I would just need your stock rims or buy a pair of stock rims myself. Where you located

I would like to keep the lift as a set. And no stocks in trade I still have my stock off road stuff.

I would sell the lift as a whole package. $600.

It depends on where I am hunting. In a less densely populated area like KG, I can get them to come to a call pretty much all day. But if I am hunting up here in Loudoun I stick to hunting at night.

Gotcha. Is there anything else included besides the 5100s and coils? Also are the 5100s height adjustable?

Question for the group. If im running between 250-350lbs in the rear, and i have a 3" lift in the front, which Dakars do you think i would be better off with:

    • The "Medium Duty" leaf pack will provide approx. 2.75" lift (2005-2015 Tacoma) or 2.0" lift(2016+ Tacoma) while supporting 0 lbs - GVW
    • The "Heavy Duty" leaf pack will provide approx. 2.75" lift (2005-2015 Tacoma) or 2.0" lift (2016+ Tacoma) while supporting a constant load of 660 lbs.

I believe @fatfurious2 has ran both the dakars with and without the extra leaf (d29xl i think it is). He may be able to steer you in the right direction

I honestly didn't notice a difference between the two. But the Dakars are stiff without weight. I think you will be fine with the "medium" pack. And if you go up in weight, you can add the extra leaf without too much hassle

Think they are but only when assembling them. You want to set them at the 0 notch so you can get the greatest height, without preloading the spring

Ok, I have the Headstrong Progressive AAL in right now which is supposedly a 1.5" lift and the rear is a little bit lower than the front and doesnt ride great so maybe the sag of the medium with the weight im running will make me perfect.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I used to have a gig where on week 1, I worked 4 and was off 3. The following week, off 3, work 4, repeat. End result, work 8 off 6, repeat. Was sweet...
