Official 2018 NCAA Football Thread

Alabama is heralded as the standard because of the success on the recruiting trail, and on the field. As the only team to be in all 4 of the playoffs, and winning at worst, half of the national championships in the last decade, as well as profiting in the books, i'd say every school wants that, just in their own brand. Which, is completely understandable. Dabo has created success in his own brand...his own way. The Clemson way. Much more close-nit, family type of team instead of the business style of Alabama.

Honestly, i'd rather have that style at Alabama, but, this system seems to be working just fine.

Any realistic Bama fan knows the effect the calls in Bamas favor had. All i heard all year was " (insert Bama opponent name) got away with one there" multiple times a game, and those calls sucked. Momentum is a fickle peach. It affected Bama this year in the regular season, and it affected UGA in the natty.

I'm excited to witness Kirby's resilliance, and his direction going forward.

As far as Alabama goes, I'd say they have a legitimate QB controversy....Tua looked like he was able to run the ball and scramble enough to extend drives.

 

My bad did not catch up on the back and forth on the Clemson game that happened years ago.

I dunno... I have wanted to see Tua start this whole season, but it's hard to go against a guy that is 25-2.

Last nights game was utter bull shit. I'm tired seeing teams playing in championship games having big leads going into the
locker rooms for half time. Only to come back out and put up zero points on the board in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The Dawgs
should fire anyone that called plays after half time.

Also, tarnation is something you'd hear more in the west rather than the south. I think we'd say something more like "Wussat noise ovair?"

Well, they did put 7 points on the board in the 3rd as an almost immediate answer to Alabama's first touchdown. That 80-yard TD pass convinced me that the game was over. I really almost went to bed at that point.

 

I watched the 2nd half again last night!

 

I haven't yet. I wanted to watch OT on the "Homer cast" they did to see their reactions to overtime, but since the game went long my recording cut out near the end of regulation.'

EDIT2: Got to the end. Aaron Murray's reaction is about what mine would be if it had gone the other way... Open mouth. Staring. Unable to speak. Adam Amin was about the same, at least initially.
