If my AR15's headspacing is off I am seriously considering taking off the barrel and buying a 6.5grendel bolt and barrel for it. I've got another 556 AR, any reason not to do it?

Is it legal like the SB Tactical braces? Never seen one before.

I was just about to say the same thing but then thought of the KAK Shockwave Blade and figured it was the same thing. Although I think theyll redesign it with that qd mount there. I dont think the ATF will like that but, its got a fixed tube so theyre not pushing button too hard.

Nope none what so ever. I love my 6.5 Grendel. Amazing gun to shoot and definitely a long range shooter.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.

I’d imagine it’s fine based on the design. Has a strap like others. DS isn’t a huge company, but has been in the game for quite a long time. I would be worried if it was some new company or a dude off a forum making them, but they know the game.

Either way, ordered one, so once I get it and get a billet buffet tube, I’ll slap it on a lower and my 10.5” 5.56 upper for first impressions. Eventually I’ll grab a 7-8” .300blk upper for it.

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
The ATF’s letter doesn’t apply to all braces, but rather only to pistol braces that have been submitted to the ATF’s FTB (Firearms Technology Branch) and gotten approval. So far, SB Tactical is the only company to have received that approval. This is what I'm tracking unless something has changed since last April.

I am hearing there might be another ruling on these paperless SBR braces coming soon as manufactures are pushing the envelope w/designs....

I just picked up a Palmetto AR-9 "Classic Pistol Lower" and 4" Lightweight upper with Keymod handguard. Looking forward to shooting it, but of course the upper is taking forever to ship!

Has anyone had any luck adding a Law Tactical folder to a PSA AR-9? I'm looking in to it but it seems like they may be incompatible due to the PSA Hybrid BCG not having an opening in the back for the Law Folder extension.

For all of those of you that build your own AR"s using new barrels & such. A reminder, to always check your head spacing go/no go's even on a new barrel. This is a an example:

Thats what you call cheating. You have to go through the pain of ordering parts, waiting for good deals, then get mad when they are sold out. Followed by the grueling task of waiting for them to ship one by one over the course of months.....THEN you have to try and put it together and pray to the AR gods that everything works and then you can take pictures and post it done.

You just skipped like 50 steps....

Hope it works flawlessly. First time I shot my AR9 I could not stop grinning. What a blast.

All this talk of the AR9 had me looking. I was hoping to avoid an FFL transfer by picking up a Spike's 9mm lower (I'm about an hour from their shop). Their built lower costs more than a PSA upper and lower. I may have to visit the LGS and get something going...

I'm thinking dedicated. I don't know if I'd trust an adapter.
