yea bro same here, took multiple breaks yesterday, walk around, stretch, back and do some work then up again. makes me go

Did the new pulley work out? Add some power? I know it did with Christian’s.

 

yeap love the 2.8 mod, truck has more throttle response, rpm seems lower compare the stock pulley. once I do my transmission fluids change and flush ill prolly don't have to regear unless I go 35.

 

If I say screw it and try to swap, what would be better. 1. Keep the transmission that I have now and do a shaft swap. 2. Buy a AT tranny and regear to 4.88 on whatever front diff I buy and my rear. Or 3. buy MT 4.56 and diff at 4.56.

The guy’s thread I read who did a swap in my exact truck put in really low gears at 5.29. But I think since I do a decent amount of highway when I go on trips I wouldn’t want to go that high.



The problem is my lady doesn’t want to get rid of the truck since I’ve put so much money and work into it. Plus she likes it a lot and likes driving it. So it might be easier on that end to do a swap and have fun with it and learn a bunch of crap along the way. It’s the harder route mechanically but easier juggling all the pieces.

 

I'd say manual swap it while you're at it but that might just be me. The R150F is a great transmission but its a lot of extra work to install. Here's a guy I discovered a long time ago, started off very similar by the looks of it, even has the same engine. Its worth the read

Well it snowed for the second time yesterday and today its all melting away again. I didn't even bother to swap out the 2wd

Thanks. I'll stick with 4.56's then. I wonder why he went to 5.29's as he was only running 33's. But he had sliders, both bumpers, and all that other weight.

Got it. For me, I only drive 70mph on the freeway anyway. I plan to run nothing bigger than 33's ever.

Currently, I run about 2.5k going exactly 70mph. If I go 80 I'm at 3k.
