You may want to take a look at how many "American" companies are owned by Chinese conglomerates. In a given month, you are giving the Chinese your business whether you like it or not, or whether you realize it or not. If you aren't comfortable with this, you may want to research corporate ownerships and supply chains.

Given the advent of gunpowder, the gun industry would disagree with you.

Yup, hard to completely avoid things made in China but I make a concerted effort to buy American made products as often as possible. Beyond that, just products that are made with care, by people who care.. I ride mountain bikes and these days, Carbon bikes are the name of the game. Most of the really good carbon manufacturers are in Taiwan so it kind of is what it is. But they are held to strict quality control standards by the bike companies contracting them.

These knock off companies have no quality control standards, rather just slap shit together with no care for materials or fit and finish.

Take a Chinese light bar compared side by side with say, Baja Designs, you can tell in an instant which one was made with care, quality materials and has a ton of science and research behind it.. And if anyone on here has dealt with Baja Designs, they know, their customer service is second to none. Have an issue and it's taken care of right away. Had a buddy with a Chinese knock off light bar, made to look like a BD. A 10 in section was dead on delivery. Took him 3 weeks to even get in touch with someone and another 2 months to get the parts to fix it. No thanks

Reverse engineering doesn't always work (doesn't even broach the issue of intellectual property), and consumers are the ones that pay the price for poor quality.

No issues with mine and I bet you an authentic OEM grill you couldn’t tell a difference. It took a week and change to get to me. And the only people having issues are the ones not ordering from verified sellers. We are also talking about plastic. People paying 380 dollars for plastic are out of there minds! The real tragedy is Toyota charging that!

5100s/OME 888s. Dakar leaf pack. Total Chaos UCAs. DeMello Sliders. BAMF Recessed Grille. Prinsu Cabrack and Toprack.
Did you need to do any sort of retrofit to get them installed in the fog light area? Need brackets in addition to the lights or do they fit as is?
