Hey guys, I am looking into buying a Double Cab Tacoma and I am realizing its a lot better deal to buy a brand new one then it is to get a used one! So what did you guys pay for your 10 Tacoma??

This will help me see how low I might can get a dealer down!!

I bought mine for 300 dollars under dealer invoice. I had two offers of 500 dollars over invoice at different dealers.

The variable was my trade. All 3 dealers were within 500 of each other for my trade in. Basically they were all less than 400 dollars apart on the final deal and I went with the cheapest.

If you find the truck you want and can get them down to dealer invoice, you are getting a pretty good deal.

This is how I picked it up from the dealer:

    2009 TRD OffRoad 4x4
    Double Cab/Short Bed
    4.0L V6
    5 speed Auto
    Tow Package
    TRD CAI
    TRD CatBack
    Tube Steps
    Interior Lights
    Bed Extender
    Rear Spring TSB

$34,500 OTD. Actual price of truck was $32,500. Cost (NOT INVOICE, which is well above cost) for the dealer to get the truck on the lot and install the accessories I wanted (everything below Tow Package on the list) was about 30k even. They made about 8% profit on the deal. Fair to me, fair to them.

Sticker (their first offer) was $36,700 before TTL, would've been around 38,700 OTD. I thought that was cute.

Good question! I'm haggling with one right now. Perhaps I need to get a second dealer dialogue going as well.

2010 4x4 Loaded DC Sport LB W/JBL, Blue tooth, Tow Pkg.. O yeah it's an MGM which the dealer said costs an extra 5k...lol.....

I paid $28,900 +TTL, I thought it was an average deal.

And the dealer just agreed to do the TSB today, only 2k miles on the truck, they didn't even question it.

Ok guys I went and checked out a truck today!

    http://www.moderntoyota.com/detail-2010-toyota-tacoma-4wd_double_v6_at__natl_-new-5474895.html

There it is, the dealer offered it for 28500. And they will put step rails on that are worth 600(they are the flat nurf ones)!

Is this a good or bad deal?? It has 5000 mils on it cause a Toyota Rep Drove it some, so thats why they knocked more off! Only thing is, its not the color I want...I preferably want white but they do not have it!

So I bought before the recall scandal blew the f@$% Up. Dec.11 2009.
    I was looking at a 07 w/ 13k miles that was $25,700 best price.
So i went with a 10 TRD Sport entry package. DC 6spd manual.
$29,745 sticker. $27,270 is what i got them down to.
I figured for another 1,500 why not go with brand new and less than 40 miles!!

    Since :
    Floor mats $150
    ARE Cap $1600 (ouch)
    Bed mat $65
    Trd shifter knob $25
    Aries Grille guard $300
    N-fab side rails $260
Wet okole front seat covers $300 (ouch)
    Truck Bedz Air mattress $100
Sportz Suv tent $200 (good deal)
    Thule rack $100 (great deal)
    Thule cargo box $260

    :D
    Next: Sock monkey decals,
    3inch lift
    FJ TRD rims
    AT tires

Anyone want to lend me some $ ???

I paid invoice here in California in Sept 09. Prices will vary by region. If you get it for invoice you are getting a good deal. Those step bars can be bought for 300 so do not even add that to the price of the vehicle. Since it was driven as for a little more or work out maintenance with the dealer, I am sure it would not hurt. Good luck.

Honestly, the nerf bars are not really worth $600 IMO, perhaps $200
Sticker is 31,3.....one site that I used with the TRD sport package with the radio and running lights the price you should shoot for is $28,400, new, no miles.
With 5k she is a demo/used to me. I wouldn't pay, with the running boards, more than $26300.
