After working 5-1:30 I have to go to the dmv and wait for lord knows how long to get a new sticker since my plate expires this month

 

Do it online and have them mail it to you. DMV waits suck.

 

I just mine in the mail on Monday. My tag expired at end of December

funny story about stickers... went to put my new sticker on the plate back in sept and realized that I never actually put the previous years sticker on the plate. it was in my glove box still. so I went a full year with an expired sticker. I cant tell you how many police had sat behind me at stoplights and none ever noticed.

 

I don’t want anything to happen would rather walk out with it in my hand than have to wait for it to come in the mail

 

I hear ya. Don't blame you either. You do get an option to print a receipt to show the police in case you get pulled over while waiting, but peace of mind is good in case the cop wants to be difficult.
