Lately I have been having back and neck shoulder aches when ever I drive in the truck. the longest I drive is like 10 miles daily. I am just wondering if anyone else has felt uncomfortable with the seats. I am about 5 10 in height and wonder if I need to use any kind of a cushion. I have tried adjusting my seat in may different ways. Any ideas will be appreciated.

I think it's the way I lean against the seat but I've been noticing the uncomfortableness in my left side. Wish the seats were a little wider.

Yeah, my back has gotten worse since driving my truck. It's the SR5 trim. These seats aren't that comfortable and don't really support your back.

Juju. Does your truck have the sport seats?

I have had back problems for years, but love my sport seats. Of course, I'm coming from an 03 Tacoma offroad. Those seats were total garbage and one of the biggest reasons I got my 2010.

look into getting some of the trd sport seats, one of thebiggest reasons i bought the sport. Better side bolstering and lumbar support, seems to be a bit more padding based on the ass meter

Long drives kind of suck with my '10 sr5. I have a problem with the head rests as well. They extend to far past the front of the seat back.

I have the basic sr5 seats. I had / have a lot of trouble getting them dialed in. But lately I seem to have found a combo that works well. So I would say keep tinkering with it and I bet you will find that sweet spot.

Mine is the bench seat, and with previous accident related back issues, the Tacoma bench seat is better for my back with the more upright posture. Normal car seats aggravate my lower back. I had to use a small pillow when driving vehicles without an adjustable lumbar support for years previously FWIW.

I've got a 2007 DC TRD OffRoad and I also get lower back pain driving mine. I find my lower back is hunched a bit to fit in the seat properly even when the lumbar knob is cranked all the way. It is like the lumbar stuff is just not in the right spot. Trying to figure out what to do for mine...

There is no such thing as SPORT seats - only the TRD seats. The SPORT and the OFF ROAD share the same seats.

I just bought a 2010 SR5 less than 60 days ago. Within a week I started to have lower back pain. I've been on the internet ever since trying to find a solution. What I have found out is Toyota is no help. They will not call you back. I'm currently looking at the possibility of changing out the drivers seat with the TRD sport seat. This will run about $2,200 to make the switch. If anyone has found a better solution in maybe an aftermarket seat that will fit and is comfortable I'd appreciate any info. I've also found out that the Tacoma seat sits 2" closer to the floor than most vehicles. I'm not to sure that this may play into the problem. By the way I've stopped driving the truck!

Just do a search on seats. I seem to remember someone buying aftermarket seats for 750 or so.
