All of us leaf spring guys are really just mall crawlers compared to you with links. I hate when my truck gets dirty and I have to wash it after a leisurely stroll down a forest road for a expo af photo shoot

I'm super happy with my leaf setup for now. But like I mentioned earlier, I'll give it a few years and I'll want more. Especially if @dirt addiction moves out here and I have another LT truck to play with. Right now my game plan for the next batch of heavy mods is about 5 years down the road after I buy a tundra for a dd/ tow rig and can trailer the taco around if need be.

Is the +3.5 standard long travel kit from total chaos over kill for moderate trail driving?

No I ordered it because it's the best sua kit available imo. It's on ordered and about a month out. I know I'm going to love the kit. I'm just saying I'm regretting a little on not going linked with all these pics which I was kinda joking. Also I'm not going to regret my truck only being on the lift for a short time with the dmz install. On the other hand if I went linked the truck would be on the lift for probably a year and I'd be pissed not being able to drive it.

The only downside to the 3.5 kit on a second gen is the overall track width. So w I d e ! I’ve been in some scary crap because the front was wide. Just something to consider if you’re in tight trails only.

Anyone got a line on some 2" x 2.0 King bump stops? I've got someone telling me I can get new ones for a little more than $400, but I wanted to throw a line out first - probably wait and see until next week. Thanks

So since the LT widens the trucks track does it affect the steering in a bad way? Can i get away with running the stock rear axle with spacers?

tundra front clip, tundra brakes, cab cage, camburg long travel, archive garage rear shock relocate

Anymore info on this? What part of the tundras ebrake cable is needed. I have a manual so would prefer to keep the ebrake

The turning radius is smaller when the rear is narrower than the front, so it's not exactly necessary to match them and steering racks start to suffer because of the hardcore abuse of most things guys with long travel trucks put their trucks through than simply having a wider track width. In some cases the kits can reduce scrub radius and make steering easier / less damaging to the steering components.

Thank you thats the answer I've been searching for. Few other questions since you have done the swap was this on a first gen? If so is the only thing I need that and to miguiver the two so they connect. And for the brake fluid line does it bolt right up? Anything else I need other them that new perches and shock tabs?

No f'in way that will work on a second gen unless you notch the shit out of your frame or move the CO's inboard of the frame rails...or you will never be able to articulate over anything bigger than a baseball without your tire smashing the CO. The only money you are saving is the cost of the links themselves and you are opening up multiple other cans of worms.

In my experience that calculator and the one King uses are both seriously flawed. It told me I only need 250 lb springs ...which was sitting on the bumps. I needed 400/450 just to hold the truck level and 450/500 for any load capacity at all.

I’m gonna be running spacers my self on the stock axel until I link it. I don’t want my rear to track narrower then the front because I think it looks stupid but some people like it and they ride the lil yellow bus. Lol
