AirBag Light always on = FIXED

Kinda long story....

So, I recently had a problem with the airbag light in my instrument panel coming on intermittently during wet weather. It would always go off after the weather cleared up and everything was dry again. Then after a while the light came on and stayed on no matter what the weather was like, so being a safety issue off to the dealer I went. They told me that just to get the code would cost me 100 bucks then they would go from there. So, I decided to leave and try and get the code myself. After reading a few threads on here I found out how to jumper the OBDII connector and read the code from the flashing airbag light. I got 2 codes showing up (one being the driver’s seat sensor, and one being LH front bumper sensor). I knew I disconnected my seat a while back checking for loose connections so I thought maybe that was the cause for that code. Next was the LH bumper sensor. (I didn't know if it was the sensor itself or the wiring harness but the wet weather started making sense). I decided to clear the codes using the jumper wire and swap the 2 sensors in the front bumper (when I done this the LH sensor that I removed had a lot of corrosion near the terminals). Swapping the sensors was very easy to do, just make sure the negative is disconnected from the battery. After driving for about 25 minutes the airbag light came on. Checking the codes again gave me the code for the RH front Bumper sensor...BINGO bad sensor. I priced the part here in Canada and it was 102 bucks. I found a place in the U.S. selling for 49.99. With free shipping and a small custom charge I fixed my truck for a fraction of what the dealer was going to charge.

P.S. I decided to break open the old sensor and what a mess of corrosion on the circuit board. Moisture must have gotten inside and corroded everything to the point where all visible connections were broken due to rust and corrosion.
