I understand man. If I didn't need to get another car I'd let it go cheaper just to get rid of it. It runs almost exactly how it did when I bought it, just thought it'd be something simple. Ive only put like 200 miles on what was supposed to be a good backup car for me.

You do know that i could help you fix it and it wouldnt cost any more than a few hundred dollars for parts, if even that much.

You're sure you can fix it? I'm still afraid it may just have issues later.

I cant guarantee it wont have other issues later on, but yes i can fix it.

Edit: that is if your mechanic is right about the valve and its not a dead cylinder

Problem with old fuel saving cars the wiring and plumbing is deteriorating. My 2005.5 tdi had an antifreeze leak. Talk about a PITA to track down behind engine, then getting pliers into the space to squeeze these spring loaded hose clamps.

Haven't fixed yet, but I found it. Finally. All in all worth it, but I've put like 16.5k miles on this far since April.
