The 2.7L Single Cab Thread

I have gone with the standard on both sets I have bought. I put about 20k miles on the 285s and they are still going strong they have held up against everything. When I bought the first set I debated alot about the kedge grip but felt like it was an up sell to get more money from you. My 285s have I would say 60+% tread left maybe even 70% they hold up well and can take a serious beating! What size /tread pattern you considering?

It's a bit slow but after a couple days I'm used to it...just gotta get into the higher rpms to get going...I can't wait for the 4.88s to bring some life back to the truck!

I have a Reg cab 4x4 2011 auto with a topper, and I am close to Picking up a TW200 which is like 290 pounds wet. Will the stock springs be able to handle that on a 90 pound hitch carrier? I don't have the space for a trailer so that is my only option, and I am not taking off my topper.

your truck if it has a Class III, IV, or V 2" hitch should be able to carry the capacity. Your leafs may need some thing to be desired but if it is only every other weekend if it sags a little in the rear then who cares but you could always consider an "add a leaf kit" for long term solution.

 

This thread makes me want to build my RC.... i just wish it was 4wd!

Well, it's a sad day for me. Sold my truck for $16k today. I'm bummed about it, but have to put my family first. The gf said she'll go in on a new truck with me in a couple if years. Hopefully the 3rd gen grille will get a makeover by then.

Didn't think the tw was 290lb. I have an 01 and that little sucker is fun to ride. Now my Drz 400 was every bit of 290lbs until I started lightening it up. As previously mentioned if you have a class 3 frame hitch you'll be fine.

 

Just picked up my 2014 Reg. Cab 4X4 Auto last week w/ 23K miles. Always wanted a regular cab Tacoma. This thread is awesome. Getting lots of ideas here’s how she looks stock. Tint and maybe wheels coming soon.

For the meantime and in between time, it'll be a 2015 Corolla S with 19k miles on the odo. I managed to get a killer deal and still walk away with cash to put towards bills and a decent amount into the bike.

I'll be back in a Tacoma before you know it.
