Hey man congrats on the baby.I'm glad to see you do most of the work on your truck yourself:hattip:. I have some spare parts lying around if your interested in paying for shipping they are yours bud. I have some stock UCA's and swaybar with links. Thanks we are super excited for Baby, We have been trying for along time (the regular way) then stepped it up with fertility treatment (IUI), then full on fly away and live in a hotel for two weeks to have (IVF) .... I might have the order of the procedures mixed up. But yes this baby is going to be loved. I have all ready bought him a Yamaha PW50 (dirt bike) i figure skip the electric and move right into two stroke and he is not even out of the oven yet.

Due to all the complecations and medical procedures we found out the sex of the baby .... BOY :)

we have picked the name Parker

Thanks for the offer on the parts i am interested in the UCA i will send you a PM :)

Just curious how Toyota is going to Mvi a truck with a bad chassis? Or are they doing the MVI after the chassis swap? My buddy is waiting for a chassis replacement in Gander and the chassis has been on back order for 10 months. The dealer has 2 on back order out there. Hope the dealer comes through for ya. Did they say they had the frame?

As my princess Auto (Canada’s harbour freight) 3 jaw puller turned into a 2 jaw puller. I tried to return it for warranty with no luck. Looks like I am going to make my own links to give this a second try after work :)

Nice work and progress. I actually have a set of UCA's off my '14 with less than 1k miles on them that I would sell you for pretty cheap if you wanna go that route. I also have a set of leaf springs with the same mileage on them, but the shipping would prob be outrageous.

I’m surprised your Princess wouldn’t warranty that. The ones in Alberta will warranty/return ANYTHING.

no autoparts stores in NFLD do the tool rental program? I'd imagine if they do they'd have the UBJ press making that job a bit easier

** not really a "rental" more like a deposit system, you break it you bought it, but for me, Advanced Auto did not even require me to buy a part from them to do the tool loan, I borrowed a similar ( but more $$$) 3-jaw puller to do my wheel bearing on my versa ( RIP )

Good to know, I've had my eye on that kit for a while, just waiting for a sale, and my funds to align. Looks like I'll save my $$ for something else.

So my two three jaw pullers broke, princess Auto would not warranty them due to no receipt. The offered me to give me the sale price on them. Ok $28 give it to me but I am going to make stronger plates and fix my old one and save the $ as family taco is on a major budget.

I had all my plates cut and one hole drilled and then it struck me that $28 is holding up progress on truck. Ditched the plate idea for now and went and got the new one to start working.

Drivers side upper ball joint already had the nut lose, boot and snap ring removed so getting to this stage was easy. I support the spindle with re bar tie wire to keep it from flopping around. You can hold the uca down with a jammed pry bar. I found this easy to work on it this way

I do that kinda stuff all the time. I've spent hours messing around with things trying to not spend money on something, only to then go spend it anyway and then don't have time to do what it was anyway.
