Same here. Been looking for a couple of years for the right deal. Saw this RTT/ bed rack combo w/ rotopax for sale in the marketplace by another TW member and couldn’t pass it up. I was surprised it wasn’t gone in the first day. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but it’s soo great not to have to sleep on the ground anymore. I have to replace the retention straps for the tent, but other than that it’s perfect for my needs.

Monkey, do you know where I can get some more straps, or a better solution to keeping the tent secure when folded down?

I got a pair of these to mount my fridge, I would feel comfortable with using them for additional straps just for the piece of mind. In my experience so far in using this tent I think longer straps would be better instead of additional ones. My last trip to Death Valley had me stuffing a few blankets, 3 sleeping bags and 2 pillows inside and could have used some extra length on the straps. I had to work it but managed to get it done.

In da club finally!! I wanna cut the rails and flip it off the back so I can gain access to truck bed with annex attached. How many people here go off the rear rather than the side????

Right on, thanks. I wrote Smittybilt and asked them but haven’t heard back yet. I may just go this route.

i just figured even if you need to squeeze off the trail and deploy, back realty would be best over trying the two lane parking setup.....

@bobbey555, how do you mount the gun cases? I have a couple of those Planos....just drill the bottom, bolt up with flat bar and silicon the holes up??

Is that a PB front bumper?

on a side note, I think you need to update your sig......that chit does not look like a toytec billy lift at .85 :)

Went up and camped on the 06 fire road in Truckee so that I could get up and ski Northstar the next day, because there was a storm coming through. These weather hoods kick butt, tent climate is so much warmer/drier. Also ran a dirt bike strap from where the ladder mounts to one of my rims, stayed so still in the snow storm.

He was looking for the metal bracket piece. I ended up buying shorter bolts because my rack didn't need bolts that long. I'm sure everyone swaps out different types of hardware for each mounting situation.
