E-brake is mechanical, not hydraulic. Hydraulic brake lines bolt right in as they are exactly the same as the Tacoma. I had to redneck engineer mating the taco cable to the tundra, and make my own mounts for the cable and pivot on the axle.

Hydraulic lines bolt in. As for list of parts...most of it was random shit I had in my garage. Litterally sleeves from old bushings, random clips and clamps, locktite, and a turnbuckle

Giant claims 21” of travel from their kit. :notsure:

Side note: has anyone ever (or is it even possible) to shorten the stroke of a 2” bumpstop to 1”? I’ve read a ton about going from 4-2 but never shorter.

You can shorten it to whatever size you want, just make/buy the correct size spacer. To shorten a bump stock, you just put the spacer inside of it that keeps it from extending all the way out.

Just wasn’t sure if it’s sometbing internal to a 2” you can’t shorten since I couldn’t find anyone else doing it.

Help! I need knowledge. So I’m planning on getting dirt kings long travel kit, but buying brake lines else where. How many inches would y’all recommend getting? Front and rear

Maybe metal to metal the kit will do 21" best i saw was 20". If i tried to push every last inch from the giant 64 kit it would be just over 19" bumped and strapped.

    Yes
Look closely at that black truck IE: the CO’s are coming through the floor of the bed not through the wheel wells which means they are mounted inside the frame rails. You can’t judge anything by Zam’s 1st gen build either because he has a super wide rear axle to clear his CO’s. With the difficulty you had with your current build I think you need to slow down and consider everything very carefully and only use widely known reputable builders this time too. You have stated that you don’t have go fast off roading locally so you will be mainly running trails = slower speed big articulation is better...and if your dry humping your CO’s you’re toast.

    Thank you for your insight.
My current rear shocks are going through my bed.
I am getting a larger rear end shortly to accommodate a wider track without using wheel spacers
    The addition of disk brakes
And because the Toyota one that came on the truck doesn't seem to hold up to any use.

"Hopefully" the wider rear end will help accommodate the fitment of coilovers as I can currently already keep my bypasses safely away from my tires BUT I do understand your comment about how the tire could collide with the shock.

I would stand to say that erik moore is a very vetted fabricator as quite a few dirt alliance trucks were built by him
As well as daren parsons truck
Watch the hoonigan video and listen to who daren mentions when he talks about who built his truck.

I would like to do a full 4 link setup but just don't need that design.
And with the short course set up it's a similar design and more cost effective.

This setup will also facilitate me getting a fuel cell for more fuel capacity (yay)

    You are correct though
    I am still learning
And I am taking this slow which is why I am asking for yours and similar people's input.
I haven't purchased anything and I am still researching
Thank you for your insight thus far

I know they claim that...but I remember talking with the owner about it and you had to configure the truck very specifically I believe to even remotely get those numbers. He said the average guy got about 16-17 with it.

I would consider linking my ride...but being on the east coast there arnt any shops I would remotely trust to build a linked set up. Im sure when I head back out west I will start getting bad ideas.
