I went hiking in New Mexico a couple years back... it hadn’t rained in three months, and then it rained 3 days straight while we were on the trails!

If you move it again go ahead and paint the lettering. Mine faded in no time so I hit it with gloss red. Going to attempting sanding and clear coating the emblem side and I'd definitely recommend hitting the whole thing with uv protecting clear if nothing else.

The same shit everyone else has.
Replaced my headlight light bulbs with some new Morimoto 4500k mini D2S's and replaced the one damaged igniter.

It also dawned on me Ive put over 60K miles my truck since I bought it.

Thats a great price. Ive been eyeballing those for a while. Whats the promo code/coupon if you dont mind sharing?

If it was pink when you drained it, you may have the dreaded “Strawberry Milkshake” this is caused by the failure of the divider in the radiator between the coolant and the transmission cooler, causing the transmission fluid too mix with the coolant (I am only speculating that this is your problem, not sure if the radiator and transmission cooler are combined on your truck)

Have any pictures of the retrofit? I'm in the process of upgrading mine too. Just sealed up the housings last week, just need some time to align and mount them now. I went with the D2S's as well.

I meant itblooked like this before (rust colored) but when drained it was pure pink. It def isn’t strawberry milkshake as I just did a tranny and coolant flush.

I just checked another 2nd gen and it looks the same so I’m good to go. It looked like that right after I poured in the brand new coolant too.

How do you like the boss head unit? I've heard mixed reviews. Does it have wireless Apple carplay? Or do you have to hard wire your iPhone in with a lightning cable?

At $350 from Crutchfield ($300 from Amazon), CarPlay isn't wireless. Wasn't going to spend $600+ for wireless myself, I do like that it charges the phone though and has a second USB for other media. Had all the features I was looking for, CarPlay, bluetooth, backup camera input, Navigation (CarPlay), no complaints thus far.

It also came with a 3-year parts/labor warranty, so that was a plus too.

Ran into an issue with the steering wheel controls, but it appears to be a problem with the Axxess module and not the Boss unit.
