    yep..
    X2

Firm off road may sound counter intuitive but it's the way to go as long as the coil and shock are matched. Ok off to bed

Ok I'm looking on the toytec website right now & they have 4 different models I'm looking @ the 883 since im not planning on installing an aftermarket bumper it sez it gives it a 1"-1 1/2" leveling so what setting do I put on the front shock?

Are u running the stock coils up front or is it aftermarket? & for the rear AAL's what height did it raise to?

When you use aftermarket springs you always keep the shock at stock setting

I have a 1st gen Tacoma so it's a little different for me, but whatever coils you go with make sure you get the right ones for the amount of lift you want. Keep the 5100s at the stock setting (0") and let the coils do the lifting. That'll give you the best ride. Using your stock coils and lifting with the 5100s will give you a harsher ride

Yes, stock coils up front. I would say 2.5-3" in the rear? I didn't take any measurements, sorry. It was quite a bit more than I anticipated actually. I was thinking I was going to end up having to get a 1" block lift to get what I was looking for, but the AAL alone was perfect. That may be due to having brand new leafs on the rear due to the TSB though. It's still a bit nose heavy, so I may get a 1/4" front spacer to level it out a bit more.

I'm planning on 5100s up front to level mine out. If they're basically OEM replacements, is there any reason for me to put them on the rear too? Or just wait until they wear out, and then upgrade or replace all four? Brand new truck, 500 miles... Thanks

There's 4 settings. Stock, then 3 lifting settings. 0.75, 1.75, and 2.5. I have a 4cyl, and they don't recommend using the 2.5 setting. Your V6 should get the same result on the 2.5 setting as mine on the 1.75 (mine is lighter in the front).

I purchased and installed these shocks, and driven for more than 2,000 miles since getting my truck back after getting rear ended. The fronts are paired with OME 885x coils, and I also have SPC LR UCA's. 1/4" top plate spacer is also installed on the driver side front. The rears have progressive AAL's installed on newer TSB leaf packs with overload left in as well.

Prior to this set up, I had a preload spacer and top plate spacer installed in the front, and single AAL in the rear (I bought the truck this way). I then replaced the AAL with the progressive as I noticed a piece of the prior was missing.

The most noticeable difference between both setups was the height, but not by that much. Of course, the coils and AAL are a factor here as well. Measurements with old setup: 22.5" front, 24" rear. Measurements on current setup: 22.75" front, 24.5" rear. All measured from center of hub to bottom of fender flares.

In my experience, ride quality didn't change much. :anonymous: I didn't feel a significant difference as others stated when going over bumps while cruising at city and highway speeds. It turns and stops the same; like a truck. Even with my old setup I felt that it rode better than my old Z71, but I digress. In my opinion, these are great OEM replacements that offer good height adjustability when using the stock coils. My only recommendation when lifting anywhere 2.5" and up, is that you get some UCA's to get you caster at a more suitable setting. Overall, I'm happy with the 5100's, as they serve their purpose, but I'm not super impressed with them, as others seem to be.

Picture? I'm literally in the same boat running 3 inch toytec spacer lift with single aal in the back. Going to exactly what your doing.
