Well this is before it is on a rim which will change the width of it. I will take another measurement after they are on.

The stock 16" look to be around 8.25+/- tread width. FYI

I understand all that but I would have thought the section width/tread width difference wouldn't be upwards of 1.5 inches on each side. If a stock 265 has a tread width of 8.25 then a 255 should be a cm difference, less than half an inch.

Tread width will change somewhat when the tire is mounted and inflated, too. People underestimate how much a tire changes shape before and after it's pressurized. :notsure:

Fair enough thanks for giving me the 411.

Looking forward to seeing how those bad boys look on the truck. I've always been a fan of the tall/skinny military/tractor look.

Here it is. No rubbing so far just doing normal driving. I will now see what happens with th mud flaps installed....

Looks good. The rear mud flaps are fine. My front I thought was fine until it flexed and than they would catch the tires. St max tho

They certainly are pizza cutters but I like the look. They of course are noisier than the stock tires so we will see if that gets worse or better. Right now there is 42psi in each tire which I am not sure if that is good or bad for now. I measured before and after and gained about 2 1/4 inches in the front and I am not sure about in the back as I have airbags back there and had taken some air out of them before measuring.

My old STs got louder as I added mileage. Similar to what I’ve read the Duratracs do.
I liked the STMaxx better for my used, but the ST was still an awesome tire though.

Good call on that I was off by an inch. 34 1/2 to 35 3/4! I had to go back and remeasure. For some reason I had 36 3/4 in my head!!

Can you please post one pic of the back of the truck looking at the tailgate with the whole truck and tires visible?

Thanks for the heads up. These really were the only choice for me if I wanted to keep the weight of the tires down in this size.

Yea they get hefty at that size.

I’m considering the Mastercraft CXT in the same size, but I can’t find many reviews.

Thank you for this. I usually buy snow tires and rims for my vehicles but that was before I had tpms in rims. I don't wanna deal with that. I want an all season tire that is not bad in the snow. I like what I had been reading about the cooper ST MAXX so far in snow. No one was talking about icey stuff.

Also I was really impressed with the factory goodyears in the snow so I'd really be kicking myself if I bought something else that wasn't as good.
