well said. every truck is different.

you might need wheel spacers to run 285's as well, not entirely certain.

I am lifted, UCA's, and CMC, and wheel spacers :D still get a random rub offroad, running downhill, when suspension compresses fully, and wheel turn slightly

I think there are quite a few people running 285's with just a lift and NO cmc and factory uca's.
Don't take my word though.....i don't keep up on the 2nd gens that much.

It would be wise to check out the lifted 2nd gen threads.

And these tires could just be the start of your transformation. :anonymous:

These kids go further past the bridge than the one from IH8MUD. Might give you a better idea what to expect.

A guy in my town runs 285s with a spacer lift and 1/4 wheel spacers to keep it off the UCA. He doesn't rub anywhere but I'm pretty sure he's a mall princess. My driveway has more dirt than his truck has ever seen.

I put my truck in 4wd to get up my driveway in the mornings so I don't throw gravel everywhere. :anonymous:

My strap is pretty light. I think it's rated at 5,000lbs.

Mine gets pretty slick with some good potholes when it rains a lot. My wife had to go the long way around before she got her Forester

I’ve got one coming tomorrow. 10k lb working load. I think @Matic has recovery stuff too including a winch.

For the other pre runners, make sure you know where your points of recovery are, front and rear.
Looks like it's a pretty even crew of 4x4's and pre runners so we should stagger everyone out in case someone needs help.

What do we use for communication? Is cell signal ok or do we need handhelds "walkie talkies"

CB usually best bet. cant rely on cell signal anywhere out offf the beaten path. For any newbs.....when travelling on trails in a group, dont lose sight of the guy behind you. If everyone follows this, nobody will get split up. If you get in trouble, lay on the horn.......
