How much are you paying for your 2018 Tacoma?

Gone through about 6 dealers so far and the $39281 is still the best offer. Don’t seem like anyone around here want to deal....

 

After a good few weeks of looking for a deeply discounted 2017, I fell in love with the cement color and had to find a 2018 in this color. It took me awhile to negotiate this one with a number of back and forth emails with 20+ dealers. Most dealers where under invoice and I squeezed the last one to get this deal.

Im in Los Angeles, the best deal I could get is $500 below invoice plus, invoice on the premium package.

If any of you guys are a member of AAA, try out the car buying app. It's the EXACT same engine as truecar, but I got a lower price using AAA. That said, to get my 13.5-15% below MSRP deal I still had to contact over a dozen dealerships and then pit the few with the lowest price against each other.

I got a quote of $40000.42 OTD for a 2018 TRD Sport DCLB 4X4 AT with Tech Package and the carpet floor mats and door sill package. I was quoted $36067 (includes the $995 destination fee) plus 9% tax, license and doc fee.

I did use the much maligned Costco auto program so no haggling and instant without taking much of time at all. However Costco provides a 50% off coupon for 400$ worth of accesories so it’s basically 200$ below invoice if I do purchase accessories ( I’m thinking of the bed mat and step ).

EDIT: I'm now very happy with this deal for our area ( after originally comparing to some of the other below invoice mentions ). 2 other dealers said that they could not match it and that I'd done very well. I guess the amount you get below invoice depends on where you are.

I put a deposit down today on a 2018 Off-Road 4x4 6MT with Premium Package for $36,130 out the door. What's up with everyone saying "good luck/hope it works out", why would it not if a deposit has been made?

 

I hope this isn't off-topic, but around here in CKY dealers are still trying to get rid of new 2017 models. I just bought a SuperWhite TRD OffRoad double cab today and I think I got a good deal.
