Thats nice! Super easy to tune then! Since I added the spring, I screwed the tip to the lowest I can. Let me know how yours go since you have the 4'. In my case I have the 5'

Def looks like a solid standard one...any reason why you went with that one although it looks like it does the job from the bio and pics on Amazon.

easier to read, less exspensive, still reads fault codes, I wasn't worried about trans and torque temps, other than that no real reason It seemed to do all I needed. I couldn't justify a fancier one that would have functions I would probably never use

We will have to discuss this. I'm fabbing a mounting bracket, no drill, for the UG now. I'm going to hook it up in a bit and at least get it functional

I removed the center console to find a safe place to drill and mounted the mike clamp for the CB on the trans tunnel. When the seat is moved forward where I sit you can't see it but it's there if I need it

I think mine is in a similar location to yours, which normally hides just underneath my right leg when I drive. Its amazing how often I forget its even there.

    Ultragauge EM Plus:
I put feelers out a couple of weeks ago as to how and where folks were mounting their UG's. lots of good ideas and great help and advice. In the end I decided I wanted it mounted at the bottom of the center gauge in the dash so I can just glance down and see it. Since the little plastic mounting bracket wouldn't work for this I had to be creative.
Once I decided placement I decided I wanted the mount to be removeable and a no drill application. I cut a piece of 1/8 aluminum to the shape I wanted, wider at the base for stabillity and narrow to attach to the supplied bracket. I attached the supplied bracket to it with 3M double sided trim adhesive. The bracket was then attached to the top of the steering column with velcro which is holding it securely yet it's removeable.
The cable was snaked between the steering column and the dash, attached to the OBDII port, and the wire was secured under the dash.

    Bracket placement

Shaped the bracket and attached it to the supplied mount

I tilted the column all the way down for access and mounted the bracket which is pretty much unseen with the steering column back up where I use it.

And done up and running I still have to go through it and set up what gauges I want to see when your in the seat your looking down over top of it none of the dash gauge is really blocked

That's what I wanted tucked out of the way. I figure when I want to use it I'll just set it on my lap.

Yep that's what I do...if I am riding solo then the mike just sits sitting on top of the passenger seat. Liking the mentality of the UM gauge. The more I think about it, I might mount mine kind of high as I want it to be out of the way on the upper left corner so that it wont restrict any visibility when wheeling.

With you having an automatic I'd make sure I got the one that displays trans and torque converter temps I'm not sure if this one does or not I still have some reading to do. I put it where it is because it was easy to see but it can be mounted pretty much wherever you want it at least within cord reach

I think I might see if I can make a sort of mount similar to what you did in terms of having it be removeable and such. I will have to figure out more space wise what I want to do.
