Did they drill the cylinders? Thats not the quietest way to open a door, but its not super loud either. Sorry to hear it man. Hopefully the extra lights and camera will be enough deterrent to keep them away next time.

Depends on when they finish it up. Hoping it's before May. :spy: They say they're ahead of schedule so it's a possibility.

If so, I might just have it shipped. If I'm driving way up there, it'll involve camping and exploring, so April probably wouldn't work.

nah, you don't need to drill automotive cylinders. They are literally held in by plastic clips or in some cases a small stainless clip.
Fun fact, hammer and a medium size flathead screwdriver is all you need to defeat a car door lock cylinder, and that's exactly what they did.

I'll have some decent sized holes that need backfilled... if you happen to have any extra fill.

Percolation test to determine placement of the septic and/or type needed. Mainly trying to see if its too frozen to get one done now. Its been warm and no snow this winter.

I've found some spots. And working on drafting up a floorplan for the casa... looking like I'll be left with a 40x25 garage so that'll be something to look forward to!

Yeah, I'm not too worried about it not passing. Neighboring property have septic, ground is good, no water immediately off the property and well water is at a good depth and pressure by other wells in the area. Main thing would be getting that done so I can start digging a septic instead of waiting around.

40x60 steel building. Its all engineered, cut and delivered to the site. Can be installed in no time. No regular painting/staining/sanding/caulking that you'll get with a "regular" house. And then build out the inside. Plan is for a natural color to start (brown/tan) and then I'll cover the exterior in some distressed wood to look like an old building. Fully off the grid with mainly solar and propane.

Yeah, it'll be on slab, no need for a basement. And I'll likely stain the concrete for the floors in most of the house.
