You definitely don’t get what all the cool kids call “stance” with 255s on the stock wheels, so if you’re looking for your tires to stick halfway out from under your fenders better start researching a plan-B. Just a heads up cause a lot of people give me shit about it. Joke is on them though cause I think it looks ridiculous when the tires stick out a mile.

Edit: here’s a pic from pretty close to straight behind to give you an idea.

4Runner wheels will have a slightly wider stance since their offset is +15 vs +30 Tacoma wheels have.

The angle makes these look way bigger than they are. Just 255s on some tundra wheels.

Mailman dropped off my new 255's today. Don't think my daughter loved them as much as I will. Had time to call a local tire shop to schedule an appointment. They want $250 for mount and balance of 5 tires. Told them no thanks and I guess I'll call around tomorrow. Dammit.

Holy crap $250 for 5? Discount Tire does them for like $16 or so each I believe.

RIIIGGGHHHTT! They told me that they would be liable if they broke the bead on a new tire and would have to buy me one. But then she said it's only $110 if the tires were used. That has me thinking that if you brought perfectly good used tires here, and they broke the bead, they would blame it on the tire and not the installer. Makes sense. No worries though, just excited to get these on. I have a discount about 35 min away. Probably call them in the morning.

I must have driven around with two nails and a screw in one of my tires for a year before the tire started to very slowly lose air. There's a video of how these are supposed to be picture resistant.

Found a good deal at discount for getting my tires installed today. First pic is 265/75/16 AT3's. Second pic new 255/85/16 MAXX's. Put a hundred miles on them today. They're a sweet upgrade.

They feel great, smooth on road and tons of traction in some mild sloppy clay today. That should be expected with the brand new sharp edges on the tread though. too soon for mpg report from me. 285/75 would look awesome but I wouldn't think anyone considering that size would care much about mpg.

Mph honestly was just an afterthought haha. Just debating tire sizes. But could always be a plus :p
