my concerns are why selling only after 2000 miles and a supercharger install?

No you misunderstood. No supercharger. I said I don't think modding your truck adds value to it, unless a supercharger was put on. Which in this case wasn't.

And I guess he is selling the tacoma because he likes his crew cab duramax chevy better for his needs.

No idea where he got it from. I know sockmonkey makes some sr5 decals but not sure if he has one like that. I think it was the young mountain biker that owned it before him that put the decals/lift/wheels on.

    Sorry, misunderstood about the supercharger

i would take a good look at it, underneath for any signs of abuse
It looks like a nice truck
I would compare how much a new one in your area would be going for.
25k may be a good price if in excellent condition ???

I bought a similar truck (access cab off road) 08' 4x4 10,700 miles from a guy in phoenix off craigslist for 22K. I have put a snugtop camper (CL 800.00) , avid offroad sliders and Bilstein 5100's and some other mods and am around 24K. So, I think he should go a bit lower or you should keep looking. The mileage is reasonable and it's got some nice mods. I would try to work it down a bit... but still a nice truck.

    Good luck!

Yeah for sure about the carfax. He says it handles well off roading when hes hunting. Which would make me talk him down more on the price. I think i'll start at 22k and see how he feels.

    thanks for the opinions/advice.

I could get a fully loaded trd off road 4x4 dc sb for 28,9k. but after taxes and all the fees itd be 32k. PLUS all the mods i would be doing to it would be another 3k.

I think this truck if its actually as clean as it looks would be a better deal.

I emailed the guy asking about more photos and how firm he was on his price. He replied with he has a low bull shit meter. I responded with this... Let me know what you think.

I understand I need to drive the truck. Here are the values I found for this truck with the wheels it has.

    More Photos
    Condition Value

    Excellent
    $26,205
    Good
    $25,005
    Fair
    $23,355

I am not trying to bullshit, offend, or low-ball you. I have been a member of TacomaWorld.com for 2.5 years. I drive a 2004 Tacoma TRD PreRunner. I know these trucks are very reliable. A big thing I have learned on that site is that every time someone tries to sell their vehicle, they try to add the cost of all the mods they have done to the vehicle to the selling cost. Most of the time they end up parting out the vehicle and returning it to stock so it will sell easier and they'll get back some of the money they spent on the truck.

I also don't think your truck is a TRD Off-Road like you said it was. The Off-Road comes with an E-locker for the rear differential (and I didn't see the switch to activate this on the dash shot you sent me to the let of the steering wheel) and the seats on your truck look like the kind off the straight SR5 package. The decals on the bed of the truck look like custom aftermarket decals that a vendor on TacomaWorld.com makes and sells. Having a TRD truck is something to be proud of and no owner would put on aftermarket decals and replace the TRD with the SR5.

Also, the fact that the truck is an 08 with three owners already decreases the value, along with the fact, and I'm ASSUMING here, its been wheeled off-road numerously by the second owner who was the mountain biker, and by you on your hunting/guide trips.

Here is a quote I received from a Toyota Dealership for a brand new fully loaded 2010 Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed TRD Off-Road 4x4 in Mag Gray. Price before TTL is 28,9k. In all honesty I would rather make a deal with an actual person in this economy than paying a little bit more and give the big company my hard earned money.

I only asked the question about the price because I saw your initial post awhile ago on Craigslist with a higher price, then your recent one with the lower price. Please let me know what you think.

    Respectfully,
    Andrew Hatfield

Hey that used to be my truck. Yup sold it to a guy from Tucson. I did do all the aftermarket upgrades in September/October of 2009 so all the stuff is fairly new. He is a little high on price, if i remember I think he swiped it for just under $24k. And it looks like nothing was done to since. Was a good truck but I wanted something bigger (Tundra) and already owning an 2008 FJ Trail Team with Icon lift and TC UCA's I figured the Taco and FJ served the same purpose but I like the FJ more and need more truck space. Truck has ToyTec adjustables up front, TSB 5100's in the rear. Truck is an SR5 (mech LSD) and not a TRD as the Sock decals state. As far as off road I never took it off road have the FJ for that and the previous owner never did, she hated driving the truck cause she was so short. Roll over my sig and and check out what it has, also have some pics posted in my pics. No color matched grill. Feel free to ask me any questions and I can help you out with the history on the truck. Later!
