Yeah the gf and I both get off work early tomorrow and we're gonna head up for the afternoon. Sunday will depend on if I can successfully swap out my ps pump and rack Saturday afternoon or not.

You said that no one had a tuning solution for it.

You can't tune much of anyone's ECU on the fly anymore. You need a piggy back or standalone. Trucks are not really a tuner vehicle.

Yep, If you think a bully dog flash is a real tuning solution I have news for you.

Every performance car I have ever owned has been a tunable Factory ECU. LS motors, Evo 8-10's, Hell even the GTR was a cracked ECU. Toyota spent some serious time locking down their computers. Its the reason the ISF never took off as a modified car. Old Supras even had to have aftermarket support for plug and play ECU's.

Correct its a bandaid. TRD tuning is the only real tuning for a blower Tundra and you can't modify that.

And if you think that's a BS statement. Explain why Toyota Care give my Truck a 125K 7 year Drivetrain warranty on the dealer installed TRD blower/TRD Tuning. Where as Magnuson only offers a 36K on there kit, even though its well known that the blower is the same one.

Toyota and Lexus' are known for their reliability hence locking down their ECU.

Factory ECU's are not tunable out of the box. Someone has to unlock them and offer integration to tune them afterwards. They offer flashes and custom already built tunes. So that is not a correct statement.

All of the ECU's are usually flashed and not 'tunable'. If you want to be able to tune the motor on the fly yourself, you will go with a piggyback or standalone. Unless you are telling me you can plug your laptop into the ECU directly and modify fuel/timing tables and trims on the fly. If you can, i've been living under a rock.

How many modified Supra's actually ran the tune off the factory ECU? Hardly none. They all ran Piggyback or Standalone. TEC3, Haltech, AEM, Motec were the majority players in that world. There was no factory ECU tuning through OBDX back in the day.

Magnuson S/C is not the same as the TRD. Very similiar but they have said it was different. Also Magnuson/BullyDog made the tune more aggressive than the TRD tune.

Your right sorry if you thought I meant tunable stock ECU's were real time tunable. That is an aftermarket ECU trait. Yes some one has to crack the ECU to make it flashable. Most have been cracked. Toyota has not. A Bully dog is not a flash its a piggyback.

As for the Magnuson S/C is not the same as the TRD, Its got to be damn close considering they built the TRD blowers and guess where Toyota sent my blower to get rebuilt.
