Beautiful truck. Same route I’m going. Went with kings though and the reservoirs. Hope I actually abuse them when I move out west soon. I actually got rid of my ko2’s because of the balance issues and vibrations! I want the st max rubber. How’s the visibility with the tide carrier?

Jealous of your Kings. I’ve toyed with the idea but I’m not sure how I’d manage to have them rebuilt over time with it being my daily.

Visibility isn’t bad, usually I can see just fine through the middle of the wheel. Not having a functional backup camera did take some getting used to though..

I researched a lot and the rebuild seem basic but only needed after a few years or heavy off-road use. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there haha. How’d you like the 255’s? Debating that or 285’s

That’s less frequent than I had thought, maybe I’ll think about it again :D

I think I prefer the 285’s. Sure it took more effort, but I feel a little more confident in mud and sand than I did with the 255’s.

Still need to get my prinsu cap rack on. One of my Baja Design LED fogs went out shortly after install.. I need to check tomorrow to see if something disconnected or if I need to contact BD.

I never answered your question, sorry about that. Do you mean for the cap/topper? If so, I spoke to the ARE dealer in my city and they'll install the rails for roughly $200 including the cost of the tracks. I still need to get this done.

Did you see this build? Phoosa used L Track to build the tracks on his cap. He used the Yakima nut to hold in place. He messaged me that he placed a rails inside the shell on the roof with the cap being sandwiched with the roof rails. Much cheaper and appears more sturdy than the Yakima rails. This would also give you a way to use tie downs on something other than the CAPRACK. I am going to do this solution on my Cap after I pick it up next week. Also a photographer building a rig for travels. Nice work!

That is really interested, keep me posted how it goes. I’ll look into this method too.

What rail system did you end up using to mount the Prinsu. Put my new (used) shell on today.
