    Good evening folks. With rain being such a rarity in the desert I never thought I'd wait for roads to dry out, but that's what I did the last 2 days. Now I'm prolonging a project till February. I found a quarry close to where I need material but the snowbird traffic is very heavy in Quartzsite for the next month and I don't want the dumptrucks I'll be paying (by the hour) sitting in traffic. So I'm putting the project off for a month or so till traffic thins back down and I can coordinate more people and equipment (grader, water truck, water trailer, drivers) to the site to process the material as it comes out of the bottom of the trucks. Safer, more productive, more bang for the buck.

    I hope everyone and their family members are feeling better or get well soon.

    You know it would not be unheard of someone wanting to drive another someone nuts in their vehicle and tie some heavy twine with washers on it to swing back and forth with movement of the vehicle and have them hit something under the body to make noise... Washers work great as they only make a little clunk and metal noise and are hard to make move with just pushing on the vehicle.. So the story I heard goes course a bolt makes a bigger noise but it has to be hidden better.... Just saying Remind me sometime about zip ties, drive shafts and well you get the idea :} ;p;

    I can't find the info, but years ago I read about a guy with a punk rocker spiked hair do worked for Rolls Royce I think, anyway he was on probation because his hair violated the company dress policy, so as he knew he was getting fired, he put some bolts in the frame by the drivers head. The owner kept bringing the vehicle back for rattles and RR ended up giving him a new vehicle. Upon inspection and cutting into the frame they found the bolts and tracked them back to the employee they fired.
    Expensive fix...

    I worked with an older guy in the 80's and the shop super was always up his arse for stupid shit, anyway his last job was an engine rebuild on a ford D series truck with a slant 6 diesel engine. On this particular truck you had to drop the engine out the bottom for any major work. He did a great job, and the truck cam in for its first service and he had installed the oil drain plug on the inside of the oil pan, so we had to pull the engine to remove the pan and install the plug the correct way. It was his way of saying FU to the super...
    Here is what the old girls look like.

    Well let's see, her heart dropped down to 30 bpm, so they took her to cardiac care. They think that is why she fell and why she is having trouble breathing. They discussed it and have decided to install a pacemaker. She gets it Monday.
