Damn, this thing is kinda blowing up! Just FYI, this trail was recently "improved" from Chestnut Mountain Rd to Auger Hole Tr, and wont get good and bouncy until the bridge crossing, which is maybe an hour in depending on speed of the group. Don't want anyone getting disappointed by the difficulty level or anything.

Does anyone have a location or coordinates of where we will be heading off pavement? I'm looking at Google Maps trying to figure out where we'll be. It's a big area!! One could probably spend all weekend up there and not go over the same spot twice.

Well, got most of it done. Coolers loaded. recovery gear checked, winch functions.
I have a cobra CB and coax that runs to the bed. Also a grnd from the frame. That's where it ends.
The holes in all 3 of my antenna are tiny like needle holes. The end of the coax is the size of the pin that goes in back of the CB.

My antenna wouldn't work with my softopper, so I just discoed the antenna. But when trying to hook it back up......it was a tiny hole.

Guess I'll get a handheld tomorrow and worry about the perm solution later.
    Time for cold beers.

My route will take me from Sumter, through Camden to I-20, then Hop on I-26 in Columbia, and follow I-26/385 all the way up Greenville. Anyone on the way that wants to convoy?

    Very nice!

I'll be packing tomorrow, and tracking down an obnoxious squeak that sounds like its a leaf spring or something in the back. My truck sounds 20 years older than it should right now... Squeaky clutch, squeaky leafs...

Also, for my 303'rd post, I cleaned and 303'd my dash!!

Does that mess I posted come close enough to you for convoy? I usually go up Hwy 8, but it has been crappy the past couple of times with super slow people. I can try going up 153 to 183 and see how that works.

That early in the morning shouldn't be that bad. I'm right here at the truck farm on 123. So I'll be going 8 into Pickens

10:30am would be good. Gonna be a 25 min ride to Holly Springs.
I'll be towards the back of the lot near the gardening section.
