A lot of people scavenge a clip from a tape measure and modify it to mount the UG up that the top edge of the windshield.

The UG MX is the one that reads auto trans temp. There are codes that you add to it for it to read them. The codes and instructions are somewhere on the forum.

Yes Sir supposed to be 65-70 today I'm gonna be in shorts! I've got the stove dampered down though the cold will be back tomorrow. I can handle 30's much better than single digits. How are Y'all down there

Front blew in yesterday afternoon. Cedar pollen was blowing so thick it looked like forest fire smoke. Cold nights and warm days. Wintry mix next week :annoyed:

Sounds like you need to reset the reminder, change the reminder interval, and/or calibrate UG distance setting.

Thats about the mpgs i was getting with the sc
Looks great in that spot. I had mine mounted above the rear view mirror, just enough cable to reach. Fit perfectly in that spot. Its weird though, cause some trucks had the rear view slightly higher it seemed. I have heard people say they couldnt fit in the space there.

I turned off all maintenance and fill up reminders on mine. It never seemed accurate so i just let it be. I also had to turn off an alarm for when the UG itself would get too hot being in the window. Mine was an older model though, not sure if the new ones have those features.

I had so many mods on my old Tacoma I couldn't pull off since I was deploying soon and my wife sold the truck while I was in the field...... an Ultra gauge being one of them (the cheaper ones though) :pout:

I guess in a way that sucks as I'm sure some of it could have transfered over but you got to start with a clean slate. It probably made it easier for her to sell the truck for you also. From what I understand and the pics in your build it was a rather nice truck. Your out and home now aren't you? By home I mean back up North

    Definitely made selling it easier.
$14.5k for a 99' with ~170k miles was probably sold at that price because of the mods

Yeah I'm out and back home (up North in WA). I'll enjoy building this one up though

We're both lucky to have wives that like to go with us and enjoy it like we do. Mine hasn't gone off road much since I had my jeep but she liked it then and i'm sticking to milder trails when I can go anyway. I only made it out brefly a couple of times this year. we did go camping several times and hope to do that alot this year. Yep we're lucky we found good women

Scan gauge mount looks nice. That's on my list to get.

Mine hasn't been offroad with me, I feel like she'll think I'm nuts! Haha but she knows I love the Taco (and so does she)-- that's why she switched from always loving and wanting a Jeep Rubicon, to now wanting a Toyota 4Runner
