    Looks like an old dometic from the late 90’s. They had the “universal lid” that allowed you to lift from any side and have the opposite side catch into the built in plastic hinge that was found on all four sides.

    ^My understanding is the vise grips are substituting for the C-shaped clip that keeps the leafs together. If so, then the repair is pretty bad. The leafs need to be able to slide past each other longitudinally when the axle moves up and down.
