Great write up! The pictures were the best part. I had already taken the seats out and replaced them with a plastic shelf. I just wanted more room above it.

thanks for posting the pics. I’m hoping that you won’t mind me shamelessly copying your design.

Just removed mine. Took about 45 minutes. I used the “ remove the 3 top bolts and pry it back just barely far enough to fit a 1/4” socket wrench in there” method. The top bolts were harder to remove than the bottom ones. Don’t believe I broke any clips. What a beech though. Should be far easier. The front ones you can just pull right out.

C4B1C200-6B1C-457F-AF6D-5CF3CD157243.jpg Removed the driver side seat, both headrests and center cup holder from the back of my access cab 2019 TRD OR.

My 2 contributions to this forum:
1- I found a putty knife to be the best tool to pop the plastic tabs. NO Damage for me! After the first tab, note where the clips are and use the knife in between clips. See images.
2- I weighed the pieces I removed- total savings 20 lbs!!!

It was fairly easy, I only broke 3 red clips, and that’s because I was trying not to remove the back panel and just reach the headrest bolts from above. Worked for passenger side, but on doing the drivers I inadvertently popped the whole panel off and broke the bottom 3 clips. I spread out the remaining good ones between all three locations and upon reassemble I can’t even tell the difference between passenger and driver side.

I plan on building storage to bolt into the old holes from the seat behind driver.

Thank you OP and all that came before me in this process. What else can we remove!!

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina!

Giving your general location may make finding someone who would like to trade parts easier.

Good idea @Tullie D . Thanks for the warm welcome . I'm currently living in LA and need to get some back seats in this thing while I'm out here. Didn't know this would be a family car, but now it is.

Very nice. I did mine about a month ago and love that mod. I have a lot of road noise that I’m trying mitigate - all 4 doors (well, access cab doors) are now sound dampened and I noticed a huge difference in the sound system BUT the access cab is still way too noisy for my taste.

Thanks! I drove my AC today and I didn't seem to notice any additional noise, but then I also drive a Jeep. :)

If anyone want to do a rear seat delete, I have the utility package with all the panels. I’m in SoCal.
