Yes, i know its petty, but after 1 month my wiper blades are now streaking and gapping out on my windshield. I've never seen anything like it. They only froze to my windshield one time, every other time I flipped them up when after parking when it was below freezing. (Also the rear end makes a growling noise at any speed above 20 mph. But that's warranty stuff. I don't think wiper blades are covered).
    Disappointed.

Anyway, I was going to get Rain X quantum wiper blades but I see they got some bad reviews and they're $50 for the pair.

    Any suggestions?

Have you wiped/cleaned the wiper blades? They may be dirty and just need a clean edge.

Idk, but they worked fine when I got the truck. And now it looks the bad ones on the side by side comparison they do on commercials lol

What did you replace them with? Anything suggestion worthy? Figure I'll look for some advice before taking a shot in the dark :p

Try cleaning them first with some alcohol and if it doesn't improve, replace them.

When was your truck manufactured? That should give you an idea how old they are.

I forget the name. They were around $50 for the set. More or less old style blades vs the newer ones. I already feel like I need to replace them in my 2018.. they do the job but not that great.. any name brand that's solid piece, the kind that form over the windshield for even pressure, will be much better.

My reply in the recent Bosch wiper thread...

I've had the original wiper blades for almost 2.5 years; never garaged.
Granted, they've never frozen to the windshield.
Plus, I use a clay mitt to clean the glass and spray it with Nanowax, periodically; Rain X all-season in the fluid resevoir.

I tried cleaning them, didn't help. It's just not forming to contour the windshield. 2017 model idk when it was built, but I've had wipers on my other cars be good for over a year under harsh winter conditions and hot summers

I try to do this once a week, I use those little alcohol pads as they work pretty well.

My wipers have lasted 2 years now, truck built Feb 16 so I'm not sure what you're getting at. There's a hell of a lot more tech in my 3rd gen than my first gen and if I were to bounce the 28.9K MSRP price of my 2004 to compared to the 36.8K price of my 2016 OR DCLB, I'm getting a lot more truck for the same money.

Got my Taco in May 2017 and still have original blades. Lots of icy weather lately as well. No issues at all with them. Maybe you just got a bad set...

I like the Bosch icons. I had a set on for about 2 and a half years before I just replaced last month.

Date of manufacture is in the door jamb.

I'm sure Michigan winters and especially the recent cold spell we just had will play havoc on rubber.

FWIW I swapped to winter wipers every 6 months when I lived in Maine on my 91 Toyota.
