Amelia, your truck is much newer than mine. Mine is a 96 Tacoma 5speed 4W/D with 160K. I guess I am not looking for more hp, I just want to make my existing horses live much, much longer ! Jim

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
Doing fine Amelia, ( what a nice name, I have a god child with the same) just recently bought a 06 Red 6spd Taco. Great truck. Hope your doing fine also.

Hey Amelia! I checked out Elko, NV... wow... you are in BFE. But it looks like there is no shortage of trails. Too bad you have the TRD Sport (don't get me wrong, NICE TRUCK). Do you take it off-road anyways?:D

Amelia, no mine is with out TRD, I do have a factory(3000lb) trailer hitch, as I really did not want the stiff suspension. I do not do any off road and the only time my truck will see a lot of non pavement is when I travel to launch ramps to unload my fishing boat.
However, I do plan on a rear sway bar, and a real good brand of shocks in the future, perhaps Bilstein .
My truck will pretty much stay stock until spring and I would like to have had the extras that the TRD package included, like larger battery, hi amp altnator, and oil coolers. By the way what is bfe?

don't worry amelia, i wasn't talking trash on your sport. i'm envious if anything.:D

anyhow, my model taco has a problem with the rear being higher than the front when it's stock. It looks better to me when it's level or higher in the front. kinda gives it more of an offroad look (which is what i'm about if you couldn't tell). If i raised the rear higher, that'd be like a rediculous drag truck. they call 'em "funny cars" for a reason! lol:D

hey amelia, it's kinda odd that you've never seen that. We have trucks ALL OVER here in socaf with the front higher. Mostly Ford rangers and Silverados though. They like to call this a pre-runnered truck. It makes it look like the desert racers and more intimidating. But the "Tacoma PreRunner" is not like this, so it is confusing to some i guess. here's some examples:

Oh, by the way, a prerunner is a vehicle used for running the track before you actually race it. So, people calling their trucks prerunners simply because they have fiberglass fenders and a lift in the front is wrong unless you use vehicle (doesn't have to be a truck) to try out the track before you race your main vehicle...
