she's a freakin handful most days (and 2 handfuls other days) and I almost never know what is fixin to come out of her mouth or what she is fixin to do. last night we were watchin some tv show and something that didn't make sense to me happened, and I said "what the heck..." (I don't remember exactly what was goin on, but I digress) so she says "oh heck" to which my wife says, "that's not a nice word" and my daughter says, "oh heck is not a nice word, and oh shit is not a nice word either."

she also asked my wife the other day "where in the fuckin world is my dad?" (I was standing right beside her, and a little impressed that she used it contextually correct, but still a little upset with a 3 year old with a, ummm, mature vocabulary)

we're really gonna have to start making her go in her room as we watch tv I guess, cuz she is soakin up too much stuff right now

Haha the first time a child uses the word fuck correctly in a sentence is always a special moment.

When I was a kid “God Damn It” was my phrase... still is actually.

so there is a cooking youtube channel that just hit 1m subs so they are having a contest with a 1 hour consultation, $1000 price for recording equipment and an opportunity to be a regular on their channel. gotta have a < 3min cooking video for entry, they pick the top 3 and then the viewers vote from their. (if I get in the top 3 somehow I'm gonna plug the heck out of myself for some votes) but I think I'm gonna do crockpot lasagna and maybe some biscuit dough garlic knots. I found a recipe that doesn't use ricotta (which we usually do mozzarella, ricotta, cottage, and parm) but I was wondering if yall had any input on that omission? I feel like there isn't a huge difference in cottage and ricotta anyway so I feel like its not that big of a deal

yeah I try not to cuss as much as possible. I let "shit" slide typically in a high adrenaline situation and that's about it (well I mean ass hat, ass hole, jack ass, dumb ass etc in casual conversation but the 4 letter words are very limited) it's gotta be from tv, the Netflix original series have fewer restrictions than network tv so they use them a bit more liberally

I'm from New England, where we basically use expletives as punctuation. Commas, periods, exclamation points, question marks, etc. all get replaced with a good "colorful metaphor" on a regular basis.
