Were you sold a Tacoma without a tow package and were told you can add it on after for the same price? If so, we might have a class action lawsuit against Toyota. Just curious to see if there are others who were misinformed.

I would think that should be an issue with the dealership, not Toyota corporate.

The misinformation would be from the dealership/salesman. Toyota has available a brochure that list all options and what trims they are available on. You can't sue Toyota for not doing your research.
Even if you tried to go after the dealership and or salesperson, you still are responsible for what you purchase.

    Welcome to the forum...

Sounds like your dealer/salesman lied to you. (not uncommon)..! I'd go back to them and see if they will own up to saying that, then if they do, ask for the Tow Pkg. for the option value..!!

    Good luck..

Do you have it in writing? If not, unfortunately, you probably don't have a case. Unless the salesman honestly admits fault. But let's get real here...

Best case scenario, they give you a tow hitch for free.

She is not trolling. She had another thread where it stated her salesman told her she could get the tow package cheaper at U-haul. Of course we all knew that was wrong because there is a lot more than a hitch and wiring with the factory tow package.

I believe it does come standard now on TRD packages for 2018+, maybe as a solution to this problem.
