g2 bak flip ,an tailgate

simple question:does it lock the tailgate?
ok: it does not
what brand, that is like the bak flip,does secure the tail gate

 

allmost sure the bak flip one does not lock the tale gate but the fold a cover does

 

No it does not.

 

I have a Bakflip cover. You have to get a tailgate lock such as a PopnLock. Works great. I don't know of any cover can lock a tailgate. Covers lock but your tailgate can still be open unless there is a handle lock like dynolock or popnLock..

 

If I understand correctly, the Bak Flip can't be opened unless the tailgate is opened first?

 

The Fold A Cover can secure the tailgate but you wouldn't be able to open tailgate without opening the top first. I used the Pop and Lock and didn't install the loop on the tailgate from Fold a Cover. Works great, I can open the cover and the tailgate independently.
