just looking to upgrade my radio in my 2008 I just bought. Anybody know of a good place to buy a package deal on a double din radio with install dash kit? I’d like to go with the black dash. Has anyone installed one and did you run into any problems

I find crutchfield to be the best...they have great prices and give you the dash kit and extras. Spring for the posi products screw connectors..and steering wheel harness...I have a 2010 access cab. I went with a single din because I like the storage spot. Upgraded the speakers to components and stashed an Alpine KTP-445U in the dash zip tied to the steel supports behind the glove box...wired it to the stock harness. No added fuses or excessive wiring needed...just a few things here and there.
If you upgrade the speakers you will quickly realize that these truck rattle like crazy with bass...
When I finished installing/wiring everything I was very happy...and annoyed at the rattling!
    You can see pics here

Oh and when you upgrade don't even connect the rear speakers if you have an access cab or regular cab. They are just crappy thin speakers in the head liner and will just ruin the sound of your system

I'll second Crutchfield. Comes with everything you need for free with the purchase of a HU including the dash kit of your choice and wiring. Bought my Kenwood through them.

Do you know if the Crutchfield Double Din (or any of the aftermarket Double Dins) are compatible with the stock backup camera?

If it has a RCA jack on the back for a rear view camera then you can make a cable to tap into the factory video feed and have it in the mirror and on the HU. The write up is on here. Standby and I'll find it for you.

Edit: Here's the writeup to tap into the video feed.
