I’m running 5100s with 886 OME coils upfront and a AAL in the rear right now.

Before going to 35s I’ll probably beef everything up.

damn, I want some mexican food.

On another note, anyone have a recommendation for a shop to service my leaf pack (live in Fremont/Work in Sunnyvale but will travel in the general bay area for quality work)? I have a deaver u402 pack and its just not holding up anymore. Planning to get a custom pack in the near future (place the order before the summer) but until then was thinking to get the u402 serviced hoping it'll hold up like it used to initially till I can get a new pack.

Compatibility issues continue to haunt me. Have synthetic Master Pull winch line nicely attached to my Flat Link. Decided I needed the rope guard. With some coaxing I got the Guard in place.

The issue is the line thimble doesn’t allow the line to lay out just right. I’m sure it’ll be fine. Or, the thimble will eventually distort, or pop the guard when under load. Sheesh.

I’d take that guard right off. Would drive me bonkers.

Thought about that considering my penchant for OCD, but the way in which it is installed is fairly permanent. Four rivets that take some work to set.

The thimble is a pretty firm plastic. I believe on my first pull it’ll compress and self right. If not, yes, paperweight.

Can you grind a notch out of the rope guard with a grinder or dremel tool? Or better yet if you know a guy that has a machine shop you could have it milled out nice and clean. :notsure:

It try the same thing with visegrips and sideload a drill bit. If it's aluminum though. Just might work.

Did have success running my wire to back of truck for the Viair. Wasn’t able to properly mount just yet as new bumper coming at the end of the month.

    7DBF4588-5114-4E77-894B-CAC95974C4BE.jpg 3D8B3007-F038-460C-AA54-D4BE92C94EFB.jpg E1B01861-E913-4798-93C1-EF7DD1D7C696.jpg

Bought two sets of connectors so as to make a pigtail with the original alligator clips on Viar power cable. Using only three of the four sections of connectors leaves one. If anyone is going to do similar I have one you can have, then you’ll only need to buy one set.
