Well at least I have that going for me.

I am not sure if it’s the all pros or not. I know with the cap, high lift, ax, shovel, chain and so on there is weight there but I thought it would be higher. Measured again today and actually 23 on passenger and 22.5 on driver.

Truck looks totally level but I do have a 2.5 bilstein set up front.

Now the question is,,is it better to have down travel or is it better to upgrade to expos.

I do really care about looks just wondering what is better for performance off-road. When I’m loaded for camping I’m ridding the bump stops.

I would think if your riding too low and need more weight capacity then upgrade. But up to and your truck so you know it better.

I thought the all pro expos were supposed to handle an extra 500 lbs of weight back there

It depends on the type of wheeling you do. If the truck is level, I would suggest not messing with it and enjoy the extra down travel.

Although not having a lot of up travel would be a harsh ride slamming into bumpstops repeatedly.

Mostly low and slow bouncing off the pines.

I am fine with how it is handles and don’t think I can justify the cost for the swap.

Just have size envy lol, thought it would sit higher.

I have Dakars with the AAL and have more height than I really wanted. I sit at 25 in the rear. I had to push the front up to 23.5 to make it look right.

I forget, you have Super Bumps correct? I would be fine riding close to those, they're like wonderful little pillows. I have them up front and love them.

Hence "depending on type of wheeling", but with Superbumps it's really not a concern unless he was into high speed Baja shenanigans.

I have the Timbren stops from all pro, they say they compress to 1/2 inch.

They are smooth as all hell, I can almost drink a martini when I’m in the back seat

Finally getting rid of my all pro standards. I'm riding on the bump stops all the time. Strangely my 5160's aren't even compressing half way. Judging off the o ring and fresh chrome after hard hits. Leaning towards going back to stock with a 3 leaf progressive just to have a normal functioning truck again.

doesnt surprise me, 5160's are a stock replacement shock for a stock thickness leaf pack and have a small collapsed length. Allpro packs are INSANELY thick and most of the lift they provide is simply due to this thickness not actual spring arch. so when you do bottom out on bumps you arent really compressing the shock much.

I know this thread keeps coming back to life but we had something similar. What we go with is how much shock rod shaft is showing at normal load and on flat ground. We put on new springs (Dakar HD) and IMG_0766.jpg had 1.75" between top of bump stop on the spring, and the top (frame) 2" extension block--but a little over 4.5" of shock rod was visible. So we knew that with a bumpstop height of 2", losing the 2" extension block wouldn't cause shock bottoming-out bash when compressed, and still allow more uptravel. Summary: measure how much shock rod shaft is visible, then compare to height of bumpstop and top pad. If you have more rod length than space between, you could make some adjustments to get more uptravel.
