    Just got back from MET. Plenty of signs saying road is closed, don't believe your gps to access rte 88. We drove about 10miles in with no signs of anyone else. Instead of running it all the way just turned around as not to waste a 50mile round trip if gate is actually closed at rte 88. Not much but a 2 lane paved road. Did we miss something?

    I hope so, we passed that sign and went up to the next big road junction where a sign said 25 miles to rte 88 left and 11 miles back to sly go right. Where is the offroading part??? By the sign you took a pic of??

    The whole 2 lane road is usually covered in snow. All the way to 88. I can’t remember exactly when the snow started, but it was fairly early 2 seasons ago. I didn’t make it up there last year.

    we turned around at the Park Creek Rd intersection because it was just a plain rd and people were saying if you go off in the dirt its a no no.....Thats what I get being a newbie to the area and not knowing where to go.....

    Yeah you will see two roads the road past the sign at the bottom of the hill, it has a wide entrance, its about 50 feet past this sign.

    I think if there is snow on the road you cant anymore, but there wasnt even a millimeter of snow I could see on the road, maybe if you keep going but not where I go.
