I have the ADD-W1 can on my Tacoma and I ordered the cheaper Ruien can for my 4 Runner except for the etching on the top they are the same exact catch can.

Yeah that Ruien one is what I have (but from eBay). Really pleased with it.

Just never use the clear hose they come with. It will collapse under vacuum

I have thought about installing an oil catch can in my Taco since I bought it but I kept thinking that with the winter road salts that my Taco puts up with every winter, the body and truck frames would be gone before the engine gives up even with the carbon/oil builtups. Does that make any logical sense to save a few dollars? LOL

So I'm getting ready to install my catch can and I think I got shorted. Am I supposed to have a screw in cap for the top of an ADD-W1? Here's a picture of mine. There was nothing else in the box.

Yeah I just found it online. Luckily only $8 for one, but I did message the seller on eBay for a reembursment. Not really worried about the $8, but it's the principal of it. It just sucks that since I'm in Alaska it'll probably take 10 days to get here. I guess I could install it and just not connect the tubes haha

That is kind of bullshit that it wasn't there. When you do get it go to the local hardware store and find a small o-ring that fits it and you'll be good to go.

That's why. During the summer when there isn't much condensation you'll get maybe a tablespoon a week of gas/oil. During cold weather you'll catch a lot of water along with it.

The picture is after a few weeks with winter temps in the teens.

I have one of these left over from my 04 cobra that I sold. I might as well put it to use on my taco.
Anyone else using the JLT separator?
    https://www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-oil-separator-v3-black-1117.html
threw it on today. Going to run through a full tank before I open it up and see how much was collected. It worked well when it was on the cobra. I also installed one (not so pretty) on my 80 series a few years back and it has collected a ton of oil.

It is a metric threaded hole, you can put a bolt wrapped with teflon tape in it until the dipstick comes in. just my .02
