I’ll ride in a self driving car once they have a long proven track record. Or my iPhone, surface, PS4 and every other electronics stop crashing at critical moments.

Reason my parents left the region. Sold their place in Dunsmiur because of how depressed it has become.

So Toyota isn't actually to blame here, but, are taking care of it anyway?

Can't fault them for that. I wonder what triggered the probe and if the DOJ is going to review the practices of dealerships outside of Toyota's branding.

The itch to move back is strong, but between the housing costs, crime and lack of a job market it's enough to make me say nope.

Problem with self driving cars isnt the cars themselves. Its the unpredictability of the retards currently behind the wheel of manually driven cars.

I'd say both. The lethal accident with the Tesla happened on self drive when it couldn't distinguish the white semi trailer from the sky and rammed it at speed.

Um no. Despite what Elon the boy toy Musk is selling this week automated systems still fail. Airplanes, trains and ships having been screwing around with automation and guidance systems longer than anyone else and yet there's still disasters, but people choose to ignore those facts. We're living in an era where the bigger the lie the more likely people are to believe it.
