Typically there are 2 different flavors of the regular blue windshield fluid.....a summer formula rated to about 32 degress and a winter formula rated for much lower, usually around -20. Most service centers are only going to carry the blue stuff and not some designer fluid like the Rain-X. Your dealer probably through in some summer formula and didn't even know they did. They buy that stuff in bulk.

I stock up on the winter formula during the fall/winter and use it all year round. That way I dont have to worry about how much of the summer fluid is still in the reservoir come the cold temps

 

We were warm for like 3 days then it poured all night into the morning, turned to sleet, then ice all over with quick temp drops. Could even get up the hill in my driveway due to the ice build up lol.

Yeah that sounds about right. I didn't even ask them too. I was in a crunch so I had them do an oil change. My windshield wiper fluid was nearly empty finally and I had New stuff at the house waiting lol. It's still waiting now.

Actually you know what grinds my gears?

Me, yeah me I’m the dumbass that always tries to shift quick and race that Prius at the stoplight in turn to only grind 4th gear as I try to roll coal (even tho it’s only gas) and smog out that fucker. Sad day when you lose to a Prius when they didn’t even know you where racing....

 

I would believe it. Time off is always good though lol

 

All this rain we got was supposed to change over to sleet and snow and end with about 5" inches.

But the system didn't track as far east as or as quickly as they thought. It eventually got here but was petered out by then. We might have an inch.

It is 45 degress colder than it was 24 hours ago though
