Found the flaw in my previous bed mount repair attempt. Seems that the hole in the material needs to be large enough to allow the metal sleeve to pass through, not just the bolt. This then allows the top of the sleeve to be even with the bed so the bed bolt can hold it down properly.

TLDR: Don't beat your truck at high speeds off pavement if you have a plastic bed.

There’s one other welding shop that’ll do it but they suck so I won’t even mention their name.

Also there used to be a fire extinguisher place off parrots ferry right before Columbia Elementary but I’ve never stopped there. Might be worth a try.
