What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Anyone have the oem roof rack? If so what’s your expierence with it? Do you all think I would have problems carrying two kayaks with it? Thanks!

 

Got it installed!

 

Finally got my air locker and compressor installed !!

 

Yes and no. Have it and used it for the same. It worked great ! Just had a weight limitation so not good for heavier things.

 

Installed Spec U exhaust system

 

Load limit is 100#'s. Two 60# kayaks and you're over. Is there a built in cushion or some leway allowing you to go over? Maybe, as most things that have a rating of sorts usually are slightly over engineered above the rating. Would I test the waters? Probably not.
I carry two 60# kayaks in my shortbed using a Darby Bed Extender. Works fine and has a 300# rating. Very useful, one of my best and most practical purchases. On a scale of 10 it's a solid 11! Every pick up owner should have one especially those of us that drive shortbeds.
And it stores nicely in the bed. I carry mine almost all the time.

Haha I would, but planning on keeping them as spares in case one gets scratched or tears off.

His decals are top notch though, so recommend going for it!

Jimi,what did you use for bulbs. I have a 2nd gen so I’m sure they are different. I did not know of aftermarket red bulbs.

OEM back bed rail installed on my '17 sport nad new TRD chrome exhaust tip. Done and finished.

 

Looks something like mine but mine has thicker ice build up on it from the same storm night before last. Both my doors were froze shut. It is 21 degrees with the sun shining today so the ice will be melted off by sunset.

 

Added a Retrax MX bed cover in -16C temps (3 Deg in American)

 

This setup is different Jim, but on my ‘14 I went with red leds from super bright lights .com. Thanks.
