On an all black truck the big cheesgrater had to go, like big red lips on an ape, drew your attention from anything else... So in goes a Faux-Pro grill

But once all that was gone, the "blingy" headlights would still bug me so in the few hours I had before the next cold front came in I swapped in some new headlights from OEMassive...

Had this truck for a month and it's been great. Just wish I could see it some day, dry and without snow on it. :)

I think it looks better without the letters, might put a lightbar there or maybe a winch ... or leave that part as is.

Ordered a set of Mobtown rock sliders for it, I can't wait till they get here, guys there make it real easy to get them delivered up here in Canada. :)

Looking into tires and rims now as well as bottom armor

Depends what kind of kayaks you have. If the total weight will be over 100lbs (to include the weight of the kayak cradle/saddle), then don't push it. The OEM bars will start to bend for sure (seen it happen with someone who had a basket on top loaded with a cooler and camping gear).

If you don't already have the OEM roof rack, go with anything other than OEM...from my research, they all have higher weight limits (usually 150lbs). I ended up finding barely used Yakima bars and towers and just bought new feet for the towers! Plus they look better than the OEM (IMO) :D

Where do you live? Craigslist usually has deals on aftermarket racks in your area. Since everything is the same from 05-18, it should make it easy to find something to work.

Yes they have the DRL plug on them, the outside "loop" is what lights up for that and they are quite bright. I just have the stock halogen bulbs in there right now and these lights seem a little brighter than the stock ones. Protuning lab also sells them with a HID kit so I don't see why you could not use a regular LED that would replace a H11/H7 halogen.

Yesterday we were dealing with freezing rain turning to ice, I worry that LED's may bee too cool running for these Canadian conditions and let the lenses ice up....

They got no signal from the driver front side. I thought they were pulling something out their ass but they showed me the 8 page diagnostic of the sensors and theres no signal for the drivers side. Makes sense because at one point i had some tension. They said I probably pulled the wire out the sensor. So parts, labor, and diagnostic is 800. They said after that everything is ok and tss will work as it should. If it needs to be recalibrated, it’s included in the diagnostic price. My fault for breaking the wire so yeah. I lost 800 . Oh well

    Washed my truck...

I was excited to try the chemical guys black light and VO7 sealant spray... BUT....

I'm not sure I'm a fan... Or maybe its just that my location is super dusty... Or i did something wrong... Or...

I did everything in the shade... Washed the truck, dried the truck, then proceeded to use the black light finisher... Applied a light coat around the entire truck... Waited 15 minutes... Then buffed it out... Waited 30 minutes... Then used the vo7 spray... 1 panel at a time... Spray, then wipe it off...

    Looked excellent in the shade...

Drove it into sunlight... And not excellent... At all...

I can see what i assume is dust trapped under the finisher, all over the truck... everywhere.

From a distance, and without the truck in direct sunlight it looks wonderful... And feels like glass... But up close in direct sunlight... It looks like ass quite frankly. And that shit don't buff out easily...

Rides like a cloud man. Literally. I thought the fox was amazing but the kings are just on another level. I didnt even adjust my compression yet to dial it in. It basically glides over everyday obstacles and bumps. Feels like i can punch it through a speed bump with little to no buckle. Also feels like i can make a quick turn like a small sports car would

I set my fronts for approximately 2.5 and the rears were 2.5. It should settle soon about the same . I have no real reason to go higher. I love it how it is

Damn... I bought this truck saying to myself that I’d leave it alone and buy another toy/car later to mess with. Now I find myself wanting to throw money at this thing, instead of putting coin away for a toy later.

This forum is the devil! :goingcrazy:

When you take sharp turns, does it have a lot of added body roll or does it feel controlled? I worry that if I get a fancy suspension set up for bumps/off road ability, it wont handle very good on the highway or turning wise.

You should make some video with it!

I drove on the freeway today with the softest setting for compression and theres very little body roll. Even slightly jerking the wheel left and right it likes to even itself out. Handles amazing and i never even dialed in the compression yet
