Turkey creek camp out Jan. 20th

That pole still has energized conductor on it so no cutting. Gotta climb it and hoist it off.

 

Speaking of that, I’ll be testing the heat setting on the climate right.

I just eat lotsa beans for dinner and then fill the tent with hot air but I'm guessing your climate right will work better. Haha

 

Count me in on this. A lot closer than Phoenix.

 

I'll pick up a bundle or two of firewood on the way. Try and hook up with you guys at the Wilcox exit. Gonna be cold as shit so the more firewood the better.

 

I can get tons of firewood from work as well

 

An axe and a chainsaw will do you just as good on this trip. The tree the killed @Brian007Taco truck is on the ground right by camp and the entire canyon is full of firewood for anyone who's not afraid of a little work. I'm not saying not to bring wood, I'm just saying that if you have the tools and enjoy a little lumberjack'n on your camp outs, you could save a few buck and some cargo space.

 

I got all the parts for my obw setup today, except one, but it's still enough to install and test. If im not working all day tomorrow I should be able to get it all ready to go and post up some pics.

 

Hey @Brindybot , put me in as a strong maybe +1. Post up meet location/time when available. I’m fine with a late start Saturday since we will be camping this time, or could potentially leave Friday after work.

I've already got a few changes in mind for it. I intentionally made the hose bib stick out like that to provide clearance from the bumper while I'm washing my hands but I don't think I like it.

Thanks bro! Down the road I may mount a tank in the factory spare location and put in isolation valves so I can switch between the tank and the Jarry cans but I'm gonna see how it goes with just the Jerry cans for now. I'm a firm believer in not making things any more difficult than absolutely necessary.

 

Possibly in. Never done a meet of any kind with the TW crew. May need to pop my TW cherry this weekend. We'll see.

 

For anybody who is going, please quote the last update to the list, erase the quote stuff from either end and add your name to the list, then post it. This will be the new updated list and everyone who's going should do this because it's the only way that @Brindybot will know how many people he's waiting on before leaving the meet spot. We don't want to leave anyone behind.

Unless things fall through ill be there! Debating on whether to go up Friday night or not. I might leave late Friday night and lock in our camp spot or camp up behind fort grant. Big maybe though. Did you put together your plan yet?

 

I think I'm gonna do what we talked about. Cascabel to 3 Links into Wilcox. By that time I'm sure I'll be ready to stretch my legs for a few minutes and grab some lunch. If I leave my house by 7, I'm thinking 3 hours until I get the cams set. I'm guessing 2-ish hours to Wilcox and two more to camp, so expect me late afternoon to early evening. I'll let you know if anything changes
